Refund policy

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery
We have a 14-day return policy, therefore you can request a return within 14 days of delivery.

To be eligible for a return, your item(s) must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in the original packaging. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase. We cannot process a request if the product has been written in, personalized, or used. 

IMPORTANT: The customer is responsible for the shipping costs of returning any item(s).


To submit a self-serve return request
:

  1. Log in to your account with the email address used to place the order (Go to https://account.thepaperwarbler.com and enter your email address and click "Continue", then enter the six-digit verification code that was sent to your email) 
  2. Select the order you would like to return item(s) under your account 
  3. Click the “Request Return” button on the order page
  4. Select the item(s) you would like to return and select a reason for the return request 
  5. After the selection is complete, click the “Request Return” button on the request return page to submit
  6. You will receive an email confirmation for your return request

You will receive a notification once we’ve received and reviewed your return request. If approved, we will provide you with the return shipping information. Do not return any items without prior authorization.

Exceptions / Non-Returnable Items
Store credit, gift cards, and any item listed under the “Final Sale Bin” collection are not eligible for return.

 

Refunds for Returns 
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your returned item, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you will be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days

The refund amount is based on the original purchase price paid, excluding the original shipping cost. The customer is responsible for the shipping cost of returning any items.

IMPORTANT: The original shipping cost from the original purchase is non-refundable. If an item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.

Please note that it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us by filling out our Contact Form.


Exceptions / Non-Refundable Items
Shipping costs are not eligible for refund.

 

Damages, Defects, or Wrong Items 
If your item(s) arrived damaged, defective, or if you received the wrong item(s), please contact us by filling out our Contact Form within 7 days of delivery so that we can do our best to resolve the issue. Please include your name, order number, and a detailed description of the issue. 
Please also have 3-5 photos in various angles available to submit upon request. We cannot process a request if the product has been written in or used. Do not return any items without prior authorization. 


Handcrafted Disclaimer
Our notebooks and journals at The Paper Warbler are individually handcrafted. Therefore, the item(s) you receive may vary slightly from the item(s) pictured due to the nature of crafting by hand. We embrace the charm and uniqueness of these subtle differences as such variations are inherent to handcrafted items. We appreciate your understanding that no two handcrafted items will be exactly alike. 

 

European Union 14 Day Cooling Off Period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. Item(s) must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. To start a return, contact us by filling out our Contact Form and please include your name and order number. 

IMPORTANT: The customer is responsible for the shipping costs of returning the item when exercising their right to withdraw within the cooling off period
